At St. Ann’s Academy, we take great pride in our Big Buddy Program, a heartwarming initiative that fosters cross-grade connections and enriches the educational experience for our students. The Big Buddy Program pairs older students with younger students from our Elementary, and they meet regularly throughout the school year to engage in various activities and projects. The older students act as mentors and role models for the younger students, providing guidance, support, and encouragement as needed.
Through this program, younger students have the opportunity to learn from their older peers, while also developing important social and emotional skills such as communication, empathy, and teamwork. Older students, in turn, have the opportunity to develop their leadership and communication skills, while also providing a positive influence on their younger peers.
The big buddy program is a valuable and rewarding experience for all students involved, as it promotes a sense of community and belonging within the school, while also helping to develop important life skills and character traits.
